ABOUT THIS ITEM
What It’s For.
A 5-gallon carboy of 12.5% sodium hypochlorite solution, the chlorine a chlorine injection system feeds from.
Chlorine injection is one of the two ways we sanitize well water after a positive bacteria test (the other is UV light), and chlorine or hydrogen peroxide injection is the first of the two treatment steps when sulfur is the problem. A feed pump doses the chlorine, and a retention tank gives it time to work. More on UV and chlorine sanitation and sulfur removal.
